“We found that one business model stood out from the rest. This particular business model creates passive income, but requires relatively little cash investment to start up. It has very low overhead, and can be operated on a flexible part-time basis until it generates enough cash flow for the entrepreneur to transition out of his current full-time job. That business model is called network marketing…” – The Business of the 21st Century by Robert T. Kiyosaki
*NETWORK MARKETING IN REAL ESTATE BUSINESS*
In my article titled “You Can Become Rich Through Real Estate Marketing” I stated that the next topic of our discussion would focus on network marketing in real estate. I therefore feel that it is auspicious to delve into this terrain at this material time.
What is network marketing?
In network marketing, individuals or organizations are encouraged to build their own sales network by recruiting members who in turn recruit more members thereby creating multiple levels of compensation. Network marketing is also referred to as multi-level marketing (mlm). Many organizations leverage on network marketing to advertise their products or services and in turn pay commission to the networkers. This phenomenon is however, not common in the real estate industry.
Advent of network marketing in real estate industry.
According to the CEO of PWAN Group, Dr. Jane Onwumere, “It is worthy to note that I created the first real estate network marketing company in the world, which is the first real estate marketing model in the world; not just Nigeria”. Given this assertion and barring any dissenting claim, it implies that network marketing in real estate business is just about a decade old given that PWAN homes which is the parent company of PWAN group was established in 2012.
Network Marketing in PWAN Group.
In adopting network marketing as a means of advertising her products, PWAN Group partners with a team of marketing experts who share ownership of the company with her Board of Directors, and hence are referred to as PWAN BUSINESS OWNERS (PBO). Fomay Properties owner, Peter Ilorah is one of the trustees of the company. More Partners are also needed to work in the capacity of a PBO by subscribing to the company.
Who then is a PBO?
A PBO is a PWAN Business Owner, a co-owner of the PWAN Company. As a PBO, you are expected to be the link between the company and prospective buyers.
There’s a caveat here: No buyer is expected to pay into a PBO’s account who is facilitating the purchase transaction. Neither is any PBO authorized to collect cash from any prospective buyer. All payments *MUST* be made into the Company’s account. Receipts are then sent to the facilitating PBO, who completes the purchase transaction with the PWAN Affiliate Company concerned.
PBOs are on commission per sale of any plot(s) of land as direct commission, while their Uplines (recruiters) receive indirect commission on the same transaction.
Hence, PBOs are expected to recruit other PBOs on which they also receive direct recruitment bonus.
The entry fees of a prospective PBO is *#75,000.* With this little amount which is renewable per annum, a PBO can earn in so many different ways.
*PWAN GROUP* has over 45 affiliates, all of which are coordinated by PWAN GROUP Headquarters i.e. PWAN HOMES.
Thus we have the followings:
